Our graphic design skills are now web design skills
As businesses increasingly go cross-media for marketing and sales promotion – meaning they combine traditional print with electronic media for reaching out to customers and prospects – there’s a whole new vocabulary developing to describe the process. One of the new terms is visual communication.
In the past we’ve used the term graphic design to refer to all the activities necessary to take a marketing concept from idea to print-ready. Now we’re expanding the definition of graphic design to include what’s required to make something web-ready. We’ve invested in study and training to bring our web skills up to par with print.
At the conclusion of this issue’s lead story we invite you to submit something to us for redesign. We hope you will – whether it is for print or the web. We’re ready!
